Mourning Pages
Join us on April 22 inside the forced joy club to learn about Morning Pages for Grievers
Join Barri Leiner Grant, grief specialist and founder of The Memory Circle, as we introduce the Artist's Way, Morning Pages: Grief Edition. We'll talk about the power of journaling, what the Morning Pages are, and how the practice can be adapted for those of us grieving (aka Mourning Pages).
Barri Leiner Grant is the founder of The Memory Circle --a place and space she created for those learning to live with loss. She left a longtime career as a journalist and motherloss peer guide, to pursue full-time work and training as a Certified Grief Coach.
Barri has established herself as a well-respected grief specialist with certifications from Claire Bidwell Smith, Hope Edelman, David Kessler, and Dora Carpenter. She combines her writing background and yoga/meditation training to craft meaningful healing modalities for clients and groups. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, Psychology Today, Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, and Zibby Magazine, on award-winning podcasts, television appearances, and radio shows. Her mother Ellen died suddenly in 1993, and she honors her in this work.
This speaker series is exclusive for members of the Forced Joy Club. Get access to this workshop as well as all previous workshops at the link below.

April 1: Happy/Crappy Hour
In this special edition of "happy/crappy" hour, let's celebrate the end of the Joy Still Exists Challenge! Come share any observations from the month and celebrate the effort. Even if you didn't participate in the challenge, you are always welcome to come hang out.
April 9: Create a Mood Board
As we enter a new season, let's be intentional about what we hope for! Join us for an afternoon of mood boarding, where we'll chat as we set the tone for what we'd like this next season to look and feel like. Choose between a digital or physical mood board.
April 11 & 25: Writing Circle
Many of us use writing as a way to cope with our grief, whether it's journaling, working on a memoir, writing poetry, or something in between. Join us as we support one another in this practice.
April 13: Book Club
Reading is a way to both escape your grief and embrace your grief. By reading you'll explore thoughts and emotions, you'll gain perspectives, and maybe you'll find solutions. This month, we'll be discussing The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah.
April 17 & 26: Craft & Chat
Join us for Craft & Chat, where we'll gather in community to tap into our creative side. Crafting can be meditative, healing, a positive way to release pent-up energy, and frankly, fun! All crafts and skills welcome.
April 18: Get Shit Done Accountability Hour
In grief, there are a million tasks to get through. And we can spend weeks avoiding a phone call that would take 5 minutes to make. Maybe it brings up trauma or maybe you're just too exhausted to care, but whatever the reason for avoiding, let's support each other and check off one (or more) items from our dreaded to-do lists.
